20 February 2014
As of 1 March 2014, well-established Rotorua Chartered Accountancy practices ReSolve Accountants and BDO Rotorua will be joining forces in a merger of the two practices.
The two practices are of a similar size and share the same values which makes a perfect foundation for the new partnership. Both teams are extremely excited about the new venture and the benefits it will have for staff, clients and the community.
Operating under the BDO brand, the practice will be based at 1130 Pukaki Street, Rotorua. As a result of the merger clients will have access to greater resources and expertise, and what’s more the practice will still be locally-owned and operated.
The merger increases the team to three partners and 18 staff creating a strong group of advisors who have extensive experience in full taxation, business advisory and audit along with a wealth of knowledge on local and national issues.
ReSolve Accountants was originally established in 1992 by Michelle Hill. Over the years ReSolve has become a thriving practice providing clients with not only the standard taxation and compliance requirements, but also business advisory services giving clients the business development know-how which allows them to obtain their personal and business goals.
ReSolve Accountants’ services will complement the BDO brand nicely adding to its strengths in taxation, business advisory and audit. BDO is the fifth largest full service audit, tax and advisory practice worldwide - there are 14 offices in New Zealand all which are independently owned and operated.
Being part of BDO you get the best of both worlds - you still have the personal relationship driven approach of a local accounting practice combined with the skills and expertise of a large international practice.
BDO has been part of the Rotorua community for over 30 years - joining the network in 2001. BDO Rotorua is proud to support local art, sport and community organisations and events including: Rotorua Lakeside Charitable Trust; Rotorua Chamber of Commerce; Selected Rotary Projects; Habitat for Humanity; Mountain Biking and Kiwi Encounter at Rainbow Springs.
ReSolve Accountants and BDO thank Rotorua businesses and the community for their support throughout the years and we look forward to working with you in the future.
